The Belcourt Theatre – Nashville, TN
19-year old Bluegrass artist Sierra Hull is smiling big right now. She is not only attending the Berklee College of Music but she has just released her second CD entitled Daybreak. Tonight she is welcoming a crowd of fans at the Belcourt Theatre. I had seen Sierra perform on a couple of International Bluegrass Music Awards (IBMA) shows; her Mandolin playing is spot on and her voice is angelic.
She has chosen the KSM9 as her new vocal mic and loves the clarity it gives her. She is also looking forward to trying out the new PSM900’s. Her band currently uses 2 PSM700 systems in mono mode for 5 people that share mixes.
Performing with her tonight is the world renowned bluegrass artist Ron Block. Ron produced Sierra’s first project Secrets and had a blast playing along with the group on stage. They put on a great set of music and it’s always a pleasure to listen to Bluegrass artists talk between songs. Their sense of humor is an art unto itself.
Visit her website for more information and tour dates for this year.
Keep up the great work Sierra, you are off to an awesome start!
