It’s that time of year again! Our bags are packed, and we’re ready to descend upon the Las Vegas Convention Center for the largest gathering of AV professionals in North America: InfoComm 2016. Here’s a quick preview of all the great things you can see and do at booth C9708, where we’ll be camped out June 8 through 10.
New from Shure in AV & Conferencing Technology
Microflex® Advance™ (MXA) will be making a big splash at InfoComm this year. In addition to the demo stations that you can visit at any time, we’re hosting in-depth product demonstrations every half hour. In these sessions, you’ll get to experience the new array microphone in action, complete with a live remote demo to showcase the array’s incredible capabilities.
Microflex® Wireless (MXW) continues to be the audio tool of choice for many AV integrators and decision makers. In an effort to expand on the flexibility and scalability of this versatile system, we’ve developed a new two-position networked charging station (MXWNCS2) and two-channel access point transceiver (MXWAPT2). These extensions will allow for smaller MXW installations and add options for expanding your existing systems.
Education and training are a point of focus for both InfoComm and Shure, so we are happy to be hosting several training sessions at InfoComm 2016.
On Wednesday, June 8 at 3:00 PM, take an advanced look at one of our most popular AV audio solutions in Microflex Wireless: Beyond Basics. In this seminar, attendees will go beyond learning about the components and feature sets to gain a deeper understanding of access point settings and placement, networking, and Dante™ digital audio considerations, plus how to maximize channel counts in multi-room and cross-campus applications. To register for this session, click here and search for session MT23.
At 8:00 AM on Thursday, June 9, get the latest updates on various FCC-related actions, including the Incentive Auction, and learn best practices and techniques for successful wireless microphone operation now and in the future in a session titled Wireless Microphones in the New Spectrum Landscape. To register for this seminar, click here and search for session IS46.
Also on Thursday, join Shure product managers at 3:00 PM for a session called Microflex Advance: Installation and Best Practices. In this course, go beyond the product demo as we introduce the components that comprise the Microflex Advance system, discuss key applications and room design considerations, and look at how to integrate MXA with other system components. We will discuss various mounting options and optimal locations for the microphones, how to configure microphone pattern and coverage, audio routing, and the DSP capabilities of the system. To register, click here and search for session MT48.
Because it takes a village of systems and components working together to make great corporate AV installations run smoothly, we’ve forged important partnerships with some of the best in the biz, many of whom also are going to be exhibiting at InfoComm 2016. So, after stopping by and seeing us at booth C9708, why not visit some of our partners?

Since 2012, Shure has had a licensing agreement with Audinate for their Dante digital audio networking technology. This technology allows for multiple channels of audio to be distributed via a single ethernet cable and is included in the ULXD4D and ULXD4Q Digital Wireless Receivers, the SCM820 Digital IntelliMix® Automatic Mixer, Microflex Wireless, and the Microflex Advance Ceiling and Table Array microphones. Stop by booth C11529 to see what other solutions they have to offer.
