Mix Nashville & Like Candy Red 9/13-14/10

The waters have departed, hopefully for a very long time !  Mix magazine had planned to hold it’s annual 2 day Mix Nashville event in May when disaster struck and Soundcheck Rehearsals took in  3 1/2 feet of water.  It was not a pretty site!

We are back !!  So is Mix Magazine who held out till Soundcheck Nashville  was back in business….A BIG THANKS TO MIX!!

Well over 500 local and non-local engineers stopped in for several panels and product demos as the admission was free to local engineers.  Yamaha, Meyer Sound, Focusrite, GC Pro, and many more companies were sponsors of the event.  Shure provided mics for all of the rooms as well as the closing evenings concert.  Local R & B artist Like Candy Red performed an impressive set against the backdrop of the river that not long ago would have had them performing on a barge instead. Thankfully, the only liquid that was flowing in the parking lot was the beer brought in by Mix!  🙂

If you haven’t checkout out Like Candy Red’s website yet, please do.  They are going to take off one day and I can’t wait to see it happen:  www.myspace.com/likecandyred

Here’s a few shots from the event.
