NAMM 2015 Awards Roundup

Recently, we returned from The 2015 NAMM® show in Anaheim, and I think we’ve readjusted to our everyday lives at last. The “NAMMthrax” (the cold so many of us seem to get every year from the climate change from Chicago to Southern California, and from meeting so many awesome folks in our booth) is out of our systems, but the euphoria of a great show has not dissipated one bit.

There’s good reason for that: the Shure booth received a lot of attention, and much of it was of the award variety.

What We Won

Our new line of digital microphones, MOTIV, drew crowds at our booth this year. Both Guitar Player and Electronic Musician named the line Best of Show. Additionally, the MV88 iOS digital stereo condenser mic was honored as one of’s Best in Show.

It wasn’t just our newest products getting all of the attention, however. ProSoundWeb and Live Sound International honored several of our other recently launched products in the publications’ joint Reader’s Choice Awards. Shure took awards for the KSM9 in the Condenser Performance Microphone category, the SRH1540 in the headphone category , and QLX-D™ Digital in the wireless category. QLX-D was also honored by Music & Sound Retailer as the Best Wireless System of 2014. Another distinction was bestowed upon us by the Musical Merchandise Review; in their 22nd Annual Dealer’s Choice Awards, Shure was named as the Microphone Line of the Year.

One of the highlights of NAMM every year is the star-studded TEC Awards Dinner. This year, we were thrilled to walk away with a Technical Achievement Award in Wireless Technology for our GLXD6 Guitar Pedal Receiver.

HUGE Thanks to You

The best part of a show like NAMM is that we get to meet customers like you in person and hear what you have to say. The awards and positive reviews are really just the icing on the cake. Rest assured: we will continue to innovate and push the boundaries in order to bring you the best products possible!
