Nashville Floods

During the weekend of May 1 and 2, 2010, Nashville experience rainfall of epic proportions.  The result of this rainfall was an overflow of many rivers, including the Cumberland river that flows through Nashville and surrounding communities.  Shure’s Nashville office is located inside Soundcheck, a major rehearsal hall in Nashville.  Soundcheck is located on the bank of the Cumberland.  Here are a few photos from the results of the rain.  The Cumberland crested Monday night at 51 feet!  It is slowly receding and hopefully by Monday, we will be able to go in to survey the damage and start the process of cleaning up.   I will be posting pics and info during this process.

I have received a number of calls of support, both internally and externally, and it has been wonderful.  Although the task of cleaning up is great, so will Soundcheck be again after it’s all over with.  We are planning to be back in operation as soon as possible.

More to come….
