Don’t you just LOVE the sound of that headline?
I love it when I hear it from an engineer or artist. In this case, it was most recently from someone who is both!
Cliff Goldmacher is and has been a great client of Shure for over 10 years now. When I first met Cliff in Nashville, he introduced me to a new way of recording…remotely. His company, Nashville Studio Live keeps plenty busy. He invited me to a session where he had a backing band in Nashville and the lead singer was singing in a studio in New York. That was the first time I had seen/heard a session recorded via the internet. It was a smooth session and very cool to be a part of.
Cliff now lives on the West Coast but will occasionally fly into Nashville for a session. Each time he does, we try to get together for a quick breakfast/catch up. During our meeting on Monday (10/14), he mentioned that he’d recently finished a cool project with a background singer who works with the Mickey Hart band. Her name is Crystal Monee Hall and the project was appropriately titled “Three Days In Nashville.” Then Cliff said those magic words… “It was recorded with ALL SHURE MICS.” What popped into my head next? BLOG!
Here’s the list of mics and applications used on the project:
“Working with a natural and spontaneous talent like Crystal, I needed microphones that were not only great-sounding but 100% dependable. Shure fits the bill beautifully on both counts.” – Cliff Goldmacher
Here’s a few short audio samples of how the project turned out:
Crystal Monee Hall: “Till It’s Over”
Crystal Monee Hall: ” A Little Bit”
Have you recorded a project with all Shure mics that you would like to share?
Please do, we would love to hear them! (send photos too, if you have them.)
